Andrew Weed was first appointed to the Mission Hills City Council in January 2018 and then elected for a four-year term in 2019. Prior to this, he served on the Planning Commission, 3 years as Chairman, during which the comprehensive Design Guidelines were completed through a joint effort of the Planning Commission, City Council, outside consultants and Mission Hills City Staff. Mr. Weed has also served on the Board of Zoning Appeals and other City committees, as well as President of the Tomahawk Road Homes Association. Mr. Weed is impressed with the level of community support and involvement in maintaining the quality of life in Mission Hills along with the guidance of an outstanding City staff.
Andrew and his wife Mary and two adult daughters have lived in Mission Hills for 23 years. He holds a BA from Westminster College and currently serves as a Vice President of Tension Envelope. He has been involved in multiple civic and not-for-profit organizations/boards, including Truman Medical Center, United Way, and Project Warmth.
