At the request of the City Council in 2011, the Planning Commission worked on redevelopment issues facing the City of Mission Hills. The goal was to enhance the City’s attractiveness to residents and buyers while at the same time respecting the diversity among ages and styles of homes that make Mission Hills a unique and exceptional place to live. To achieve this goal, the City selected Sargent Town Planning, a professional urban planning firm, to develop design guidelines to amplify what is written in the zoning ordinances and what is generally stated in the Comprehensive Plan of Mission Hills.
