Residential Route Collection to Begin One-Hour Early

Friday, February 15 at 6:00 a.m. Due to Winter Storm Event

KANSAS CITY, KAN – FEBRUARY 14, 2019 – All residential collection routes of Waste Management of Kansas, Inc. will begin residential route collection one-hour earlier than normal tomorrow due to the forecasted snow and sleet for the Kansas City metro area.  This earlier service collection will be implemented in the following Missouri counties: Jackson, Platte, Clay, Cass, Buchanan, Andrew, Holt, Clinton, DeKalb, Gentry, Ray, Caldwell, Davies and Nodaway and in the following Kansas counties: Atchison, Doniphan, Johnson, Wyandotte Leavenworth, Jefferson, Miami, Linn.

“We appreciate our customers understanding Friday ’s earlier collection schedule ahead of tomorrow’s winter storm. Our concern is for the safety of our employees and ensuring we provide reliable service to our customers,” said Justin Vetsch, senior district manager for Waste Management of Kansas, Inc.  

Reminder: Residential customers are asked to have their containers at the curb at 6:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2019.
