[ARCHIVED] Mission Hills Covid-19 Update and Plan

Fellow Residents:

As you all know, we are in uncharted territory with the current Covid-19 outbreak. The situation is fast-moving and serious. And as the Council and I have always stressed, public safety is our number one priority.

I want to update you briefly on the City’s plan to continue to provide City services and critical public safety. The Council met Monday and we reviewed the City plan, and Chief Swartzkopf discussed the police plan.

Beginning on Monday, we will be implementing the City’s plan, which involves dividing our staff into two teams. The first team will staff City Hall, the second will work from home. This ensures that we do not create a situation where all staff are singularly exposed. We will maintain this plan until circumstances are clear enough to return to regular operations.

During this time, there may be a reduction in some City services (but not public safety). We plan on making this as imperceptible as possible, but we want to be transparent that you may notice some difference, and as the situation evolves, we will keep you updated.

I also encourage you to use the resources on the County and CDC websites:

www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

If you have not signed up for notify JoCo, please do. That can be done at:

Finally, you received this because you signed up for alerts on the City’s website. Please encourage other residents to do the same as this will be a primary communication method in this very challenging time. To sign up for alerts, please go here:

Thank you and should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call City Hall or email me directly at mayor@missionhillsks.gov.
