Fellow Residents:
Day one of our Stay-at-Home is over.
I walked our City four times today – I have found routes that take 5, 10, 15 and 30 minutes depending on the interludes I have given everything transpiring, and the calls I can take while walking. Steve Jobs famously did many of his most important meetings while walking, so I feel I’m in good company!
Three important updates happened in the State and County in the last 48 hours which I want to share:
Tonight’s final thought is fairly simple. We live in a wonderful community blessed on many levels. We will emerge from this pandemic on the other side stronger, despite the hardship. That said, make no mistake that this is hard. But many in our larger community are struggling with all that is happening - much more than many of us.
If you are so inclined and able, try takeout from one of your favorite local restaurants this week and the weeks to come. Or even delivery if they so offer. You will likely make more of a difference than you will ever know.
As always, if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact City Hall at 913-362-9620, or me directly at mayor@missionhillsks.gov.
Thank you. Be safe.
