Notary Public
The City of Mission Hills offers notary publics at City Hall during regular business hours, which is a free service for residents. The purpose of a notary public is to prevent fraud and forgery. A notary acts as an official, unbiased witness to the identity of the person who signs a document. A notary can do any of the following actions:
- Take acknowledgments
- Administer oaths and affirmations
- Take a verification upon oath or affirmation
- Witness or attest a signature
- Certify or attest a copy

NOTE: You must bring proper photo identification when you appear before a notary to have a document notarized.
