About the Mayor of Mission Hills
David Dickey was first elected Mayor in 2017 and was reelected in 2021 to a second four year term that will begin in 2022. David also served on the Council from 2008-2018 and as the City Treasurer from 2005-2008. He, his wife, three children and two dogs have lived in Mission Hills for more than 17 years. David continues to be focused on: 1) creating better balance for residents impacted by construction and residents looking to redevelop and/or enhance their property, 2) continued fiscal discipline, and 3) maintaining excellence in public safety, services, and green space. This focus is designed to ensure that Mission Hills retains its unique character and continues to be a truly wonderful place to call home. David received his BA in Economics and History from Stanford, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. David is the Chief Marketing Officer for Foley Equipment. Formerly, he was Vice President of Marketing with Cerner, and held a variety of executive-level roles at Sprint. He serves on the University Academy Board and is actively involved in his children’s school.
